Swiss Post has decided on measures to ease the burden on companies and is extending the time window for A Mail.

Swiss Post has decided on measures to ease the burden on companies. They will pay all invoices in an uncomplicated manner and before the payment deadline, for which they have released CHF 100m. The board has also decided to ease the burden for post office employees, who are currently working under difficult conditions. “Swiss Post will continue to deliver letters and parcels and maintain the basic service,” according to a press release. The board of Swiss Post has submitted a request to the federal council that A Mail items no longer have to be delivered the day after they are posted. “This should take the pressure off our post office staff. This will enable them to organise their tours more flexibly and respond to any staffing bottlenecks.” The responsible department agreed to this measure.
